The nose is very deep and satisfying. The taste has a masterful start with powerful dry vanilla notes in perfect harmony with hints of honey amid the strong caramel. Mild and friendly, bright on the tongue and warm all the way down. Exceptional.
Jefferson's Chef Collaboration
Nice rye nose and palate, followed by balanced oak and cherry. Finishes long and mellow.
Aged at sea to allow the bourbon to "slosh." The theory is that this constant movement of the liquid in the barrels ages (matures) the whiskey faster because more of the liquid is in contact with the wood more often, creating a seriously tasty bourbon. Aged 6-8 years, it has a nose that is sharp, rich, and sweet. Bourbon spice and dark fruit are neck and neck coming onto the palate with caramel behind by an inch. There is a hint of salty. A sight burn and finishes medium-long with both a sweetness and a tartness. Delicious.
Big and bold with hints of spice, toffee and leather. Sophisticated, complex and truly unforgettable.

There is some nutty flavor on the front end and some cinnamon spice in the middle. Finish - This one burns a bit and has a fairly thin finish, but the sweetness carries through substantially enough to combat the alcohol bite a bit.

A one-time release, this 22 year old whiskey was distilled in 1991 from what was then the George T. Stagg distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is complex, balanced, easy to drink, and not over-oaked. Palate and Finish: The mouthcoating mouthfeel immediately surrounds the palate, dripping into every pocket, every crevice, delivering tickles of spice, caramel, roasted marshmallows, fig, praline and a crème brulle note that reminds me of the old school Wild Turkeys from the 1980s. The finish is long with an interesting hint of smoked corn.

This is neither particularly low nor high proof bourbon. There are some floral hints and a touch of spice to round it out.

Old Rip Van Winkle 10YO
One ounce limit per person This wonderful bourbon is bottled as close to barrel proof as possible. We add just a splash of our Kentucky limestone well-water when we empty the barrels for bottling. Thus, this whiskey is as smooth as any you will find. The more water you add to whiskey from its natural barrel proof to its bottle proof, the harsher it becomes. This 107 barrel proof seems to be just right. Rated 94 by the Beverage Tasting Institute
Van WInkle Special Reserve
One ounce limit per person. 12 Year, 90.4 Proof Van Winkle Special Reserve is the perfect combination of age and proof. This sweet, full bodied whiskey has been described by some as “Nectar”. We agree! The 12 years of aging and medium proof of 90.4 seem to be just right in creating a very pleasant drink of whiskey. This fine bourbon can compete with any excellent cognac as an after dinner drink. The overall impression is rich and deep. “Well crafted…elegant, stately…balanced beautifully”-Paul Pacult’s Spirit Journal. Rated 98 by the Beverage Tasting Institute
Angel's Envy Finished Rye
Angel’s Envy Rye spends up to 18 months finishing in these Franco Caribbean rum casks, resulting in an immensely complex whiskey. The mingling of raw, spicy and earthy rye with the mellow sweetness of rum finishing creates an incomparably smooth and drinkable whiskey, even at 100 proof.
The mashbill is 95% rye — much higher than most standard rye whiskeys out there. It’s brisk, vibrant, and loaded with spice (crisp mint, warming cinnamon, cocoa, hint of anise). Fruit — ripe nectarine, apricot, golden raisin — drizzled with maple syrup. Dry oak rounds out the finish. Bold enough for cocktails. Mature enough to drink neat (or on the rocks).

Pendleton 1910 Canadian Rye 12YO
Pikesville Straight Rye
The mash bill is 51% Rye | 39% Corn | 10% Malted Barley. It immediately bites your tongue with a familiar rye spice despite the fact that it’s only 51% rye. The rye balances out with honey and fades into a smooth finish with vanilla creme notes and milder baking spices. The burn is slow to return but is steady and warm–very enjoy. 110 proof
Starts with a woody nose and the taste is a blast of flavor that combines a really nice balance of rye spice and deep wood notes. The spirit feels lush on the palate but manages to maintain the slightest element of delicacy. The finish is long and delightful, holding on to many of the flavors there from the first sip with just the slightest bit of heat.

Parker's Heritage Malt Whiskey 8YO
Made from a mash that is 65% Malt and 35% corn. The heavy scent of toasted oak permeates the nose on this one. It’s extremely pronounced. Underlying that are notes of roasted grains, particularly cereal and oats. Heavy oak flavors in this. There is a very powerful undercurrent of sweetness on this whiskey. There are only whisps of corn, but a sweet burnt brown sugar note is prominent, along with graham cracker, pie crust, and burnt butterscotch. A sip of this lingers forever. It’s an exceptionally long finish with that super oaky theme carrying right through. Some sweet cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice peeks through as well, along with roasted toffee.

Parker's Heritage Collection release for 2014 is an extra-aged wheated whiskey. A nose of creamy caramel, vanilla, and baking spices followed by nice and sweet with some cinnamon spice. The oak arrives next and then ass you finish the oak gets drier and leaves a bit of coconut on the tongue.

Finished in ex-cognac barrels and has a more lush mouthfeel than regular Crown. The spices also round out quite well in the midpalate and the oak is joined by clove, ginger, nutmeg, and black pepper. Underneath it all is a nice subtle pecan note. The finish for Crown Royal XO is of medium length with light vanilla and subtle spice. Things clean up pretty well at the end of the finish without much dryness.

A nose of graham cracker sweetness with delicate notes of vanilla, caramel and butterscotch. Tastes creamy with a prickly vibrancy that fades into a delicate marzipan dusted grain note. Faint hints of maple syrup drift about. Finishes warm, sweet, and long.
Our favorite. Amber color with an olive cast. Aromas of buttered roasted nuts and caramel taffy aromas follow though on a soft, creamy entry to a off-dry medium body with dried cherry and spice notes in the lingering charcoal and leather accented finish. A solid sipper.
Parker's Heritage Malt Whiskey 8YO
The nose is fairly mellow, subdued. Toasty/lightly-charred wood notes continue to emerge, as the dry wood elements from the barrel, somewhat sawdusty, are much more prominent here than on the nose. The finish has a dry heat to it, and a hint of smoke (no peat) – long and slightly bitter, though still pleasant. We recommend with a cube of ice.
